When playing jacks or better video poker most players get a few things wrong. The biggest problem for most players is when to chase for a royal flush.
For example if you have 4 to a royal flush without hesitation you hold those 4 cards but what about 3 to a royal flush? Say you have 4 to a flush and 3 to a royal flush. Which is the optimum play given this situation? I say the differences are not much but if you have an Ace and a 10 with either a Jack, queen or king of the same suit then you can hold the 4 cards to the flush as the optimal play. However if you have 9, 10, J and Q of the same suit then you are best off to keep the 4 to the straight flush even if it is an inside straight flush.
Good luck at the video poker machines
